Robot-final by Iddle-Diddle Robot-final by Iddle-Diddle
This was my final for my first 3D class. Done in 3ds max.

It's based off a drawing by Feng Zhu [link] ... somewhere in his gallery

I'm not too proud of this one. My teacher mostly set up the materials, I just built the shapes.

idk if you'll ever read this, but I'll pretend you will eventually.

I'm taking a class in 3ds max and it is honestly the most frustrating and fun program I have ever used.

This robot looks awesome! And mad props to you too. So what if the teacher set up the materials, building the shapes and putting them together is quite the feat too as a beginner :)

I my glosh! You're learing 3ds max too??? It's not the best program out there but it works. And thanks about the robot, this is actually really old, I should really post my newer stuff.

Yes!
I heard from a friend of a friend (who is majoring in 3D modeling and stuff) that most industry places don't even use 3ds max. Usually they would use Maya :/
It is still a lot of fun and very interesting to learn though.

No problem, it really does look awesome and yessss post your new work :D I'd love to see it.

With 3D as long as you learn how to do it and make things you're good to go. Switching to another program is just about learning where things are and the key functions.

I'll try to if I ever get time :)
